I'm so bored. My head hurts and I'm tired even though I had a nap at 5.
Anyways, enough whining. Down to business.
I work in a hot-as-balls, sticky kitchen for at least 7 hours a day, 6 days a week. Sounds delish, right? Not really. But it's not as bad as it sounds, either. The people at work are (for the most part) funny, and friendly.
But to the point of this journal, I somehow have become the the chick in charge of music. Meaning I plug my iPod into some handy lil speakers, change the song when people aren't feeling it, and turn it down when it gets too loud.
The only problem? I only have a few songs on there that I would enjoy listening to at work. Vampire Weekend, Joel Plaskett, Modest Mouse, Phantom Planet, Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, Bedouin Soundclash, Kings of Leon, The Beatles, Ok Go, Rooney, The Fratellis, Hot Hot Heat, MGMT, etc.
What am I asking of you? Recommend some upbeat music that you think I (and my co-workers) would enjoy, based on the above examples.
It'd be muchly appreciated :) Anything that makes you want to work (or dance).
