So I just graduated high school before summer vacation, and now all my friends are going their separate ways and moving out of their parents homes to go to college and all.
Now here I am; kind of friendless now since they're all gone, and I just started a part-time job, but my plans for college are so much more different than what my friend's plans were. Most of my friends are going to college about - furthest - 2 hours away.
Me? Well, I want to move out of Canada and go to a college in Oakland, CA. It's what I've wanted since I was in grade 7, and right now I'm really desperate to start my life that I've been wanting for so long. However, it's kind of hard to master those goals when you haven't even been paid your first pay-check.
I really hope to be moving to Oakland in fall of 2011, or winter of 2012. I don't know what to do for money other than save up as much as I need, but I guess I can only try right now. Honestly, I feel like I really need this. I need to move on.
Any advice or words of knowledge?
