I wish I'd been a fly on the wall

Something happened to my dad the other day and I really wish I had been a fly on the wall.

My dad is involved with ethnic and racial equality things here and as part of that he goes to meet with the foreign students starting at the local university campus to let them know that these things exist and that they are welcome to get involved if they wish.

It came out that one of the new students this year is Finnish and someone mentioned that my dad was going there this week and the student was suprised asking "You're going to my country?" He then asked if it was through work or for a holiday and my dad tried explaining that we were going across for a concert but he didn't quite grasp the idea of what a concert was so my dad mentioned Nightwish....

The student went wild with excitement and stood up in front of everyone and asked my dad for his email address!! He was amazed that we had been all over the UK to see Nightwish and now going across to his home country to see them.

I don't know if my dad gave him his email address or not but I wish I had been there to see that happen :)
