Possible period piece?

I was thinking about this and I was wanting to write a period piece. I haven't the faintest idea as to what I would do, how it would be written, or what a plot line would be. If anyone has any suggestions, ideas, comments, concerns, etc. please comment or PM me. If you wanted to co-write the story, I'm sure we could work out a way to do that too. Please let me know what you think. I think it would be so cool, but I would need help.
