late nights

The next couple weeks Mike and his father worked very hard on the case. They had to spend so many late nights in the office. One night while a dinner of left over chicken and rice mike and his father were talking when the secretary raced in the office. "Mike, Mike pay attention this just came for you..." she said shakily, "it's a death threat from the man you are prosecuting." "Wait what??? Why would he call it in??" Mike said. " He didn't it came in the mail...just as a piece of paper in the stack." "Oh really," Mikes dad chimed in, "what exactly did it say?" "It just said that he has to watch himself...and his family. " she stuttered. "Well then we better get the cops involved. It could turn into something nasty." She said. So then she left the office and went to go get the sheriff on the phone.
