Why does liking someone have to be like this?

Its really hurts to know that the person you happen to like, doesn't really acknowledge your existence.
He's popular, a football jock, and has the absolute social power to make you feel small. He has friends, who talk about you behind your back - scarcely are any of them compliments.
When you're near him, he always looks the other way, or seems to be staring right through you, as if you're not there. You try to talk to him, but he's just so ignorant of you, and you began to feel your heart plummet inside.
But when you do talk to him, he glances in the opposite direction...mumbling simple one-worded answers.

Probably sounds cliche, but obviously, this is how it is with me.

I'm annoyed with myself to the point where I feel like I wanna move to another country. I don't want to like him, in fact I think he hates me.

Sucks that you can't help who you fall for.
