Kids from Chicago?

If there are any of you from Chicago out there please if you could provide me with some great places to check out for listening to live music. Local bands perferibly. Or anywhere in IL for that matter. Since i live here and find it difficult to find a good place to go that doesn't allow people who can barely play a four string on stage.

Just please no acoustic emo, feelings you feel me crap. Oh yeah and heavy metal a no no. Newly starting metal can be quite disasterous. lol
