Writing in the world...

You know I was sitting in journalism class listening to my teacher, who is btw awesome, and she told us we need to write a column. Now I have many ideas, but i don't know what to write about, there are so many choices. Do I talk about my funny experiences snowboarding or wakeboarding? or about my family, cuz we all know family stories are the best, it's always interesting. My family especially. There's the slightly crazy grandmother, who I love dearly but loooves talking to herself, anybody else have this problem??? or am I alone. I have the drugged up psycho uncle, and other typical days, but I'm glad I turned out so well. Anyway can anyone help me for ideas on my column???
