Is it just me?

I'm not sure if it's just me but seeing that this site is mainly focused towards fanfics (those that involve bands) it seems hard to get readers if that's not what you write. Before you get me wrong, I don't write JUST of readers, writing is like my escape from reality, I'm whoever I want to be when I'm writing and it's just my "thing" I guess...feedback would be nice though :) lol

But the point is, it seems like I have to go outside of my writing comfort zone to get attention. I have nothing against fanfics, it's actually what I started writing first, and if it's good I'll read it but I just don't like writing them anymore.

So my question is, do I have to write one good fanfic to get anywhere here or should I just be patient? Thoughts?
