Why Must Guys....

Why must guys be so attached to their girlfriend. I mean I rather them be attached then to be extremely distant. Isn't their something in between that they can't choose. Like, right now my boyfriend in Florida. I'm still in the boring state called Ohio. At first I was worried that me and him would barely talk. I thought he'll be down there drinking and cheating, well he's doing one of those, and have no time for me. Well I was wrong. Yesterday he called me every 20 minutes. Even if we talked on the phone for like an hour, he still called me 20 minutes later. He claims its because he misses me. It may sound really cute, but its annoying. So any of you guys, or girls, know why guys are so attached.
