January 21, 2010: Exactly One Year

Hey, so I know it's been a while, so I wanted to put up a quickie just so I don't feel like a complete failure and do something productive.

It's been exactly one year since Obama has been in office. I'm not one to start a controversial topic on this journal cuz I know how ugly those can get, but I'm just gonna comment about his inauguration.

Last year, exactly one year ago, January 21, 2009, I was fortunate enough to attend President Obama's inauguration. Needless to say, it was an incredible experience. In addition, I went as a part of a National Young Leaders Conference program and met some in-CREDIBLE people. I am extremely sad to think that it was a full YEAR ago. Honestly, time flies SO fast. Unbelievable.

I was just reminiscing about my time there, and I know this probably doesn't mean anything to all of you out there reading this, but I just kind of enter this state of stupor when I think about it. Not just that actually, with a lot of things. It was great, so much fun, but... it's really incredibly sad. I don't know why it's already been a year. 365 days. Astronomical number of hours, minutes, seconds. Which reminds me, every time, with such an impact, that I should just... live. Sometimes, I just have to live in the moment. Enjoy myself. Just a little something I picked up recently. Time is slipping out of my fingers, and I need to start grabbing onto whatever I have left. =]
