The Secret to Becoming a Great Writer

Has anyone ever heard of the 10,000 hour rule? I read about it in a magazine article.

If you practise at something, by the 10,000th hour of you're practicing at it (not in a row) you'll be an absolute pro at it. Apparently this is what a lot of tennis players do, and I think even Einstein did, or maybe he was the one who first came up with this theory ?

Anyway. This little fact is good to know. If I want to be a freakin awesome writer all I have to do is practise practise practise!

If I practise my writing for 1 hour everyday it will only take me a couple months longer than 27 years to become a pro!

Mmm -.-

If I practise my writing for 2 hours everyday it will only take me a couple months less than 14 years to become a pro.

And if I practise my writing for 3 hours everyday it will only take me roughly a month longer than 9 years to become a pro.

Luckily, we have 70 years of life to reach those 10,000 hours if need be. ^_^
