Absolutely Maybe

Sorry. I have been meaning to post this up since after the last book review, but I have forgotten.

Absolutely Maybe is abut a young girl named Maybelline, AKA Maybe, and her two friends, Ted and Hollywood go on a cross country adventure to go find Maybe's real dad after her mother's newest soon to be husband attempts to rape her. They drive from Florida to LA because Hollywood is going to USC and Maybe's dad is a Television show producer.

IT describes the adventures that they endure going through LA and how Ted gets a job as a personal assistant to an old Hollywood actress and Maybe moves in with her old step dads and works in a taco truck. Hollywood and Maybe go through huge ups and downs in their relationship, especially when Hollywood wins a film contest and his film is all about Maybe.

This was a quick read and very interesting. I thought that it was really cool because it was set in present tense besides the typical past tense.

So yeah, go to your local library and check pit Absolutely Maybe by Lisa Yee. Next on my list is Say The Word.
