College

Okay, so I know that grades are very important when getting into college. I get exceptionally good grades so I'm not really worried about that.

But I've also heard that a lot of colleges look at your extracurricular actives when accepting or declining you. This is where I think I run into a brick wall. I'm not a sports person and I don't really fit in in a lot of the clubs and after school things at my school.

So, current or former college students, do you think that this will have an effect on weather I get into my college of choice when the times comes?

Also, there is a program that I would like to enter into when I an eligible, which will be my junior year. I don't remember exactly what it's called, but it's kind of like how you shadow someone for a medical career, but this is in D.C. and you help out with a senator or a house member. My districts congressman is very involved with my school, and is always looking for someone to be is assistant(and my teacher said he's always complaining about never getting many applications), I guess you could say. So I guess I'd have a good chance of getting into the program.

If I did get accepted for that, it would probably help me get into a good college right?
