About 'Shattered'

So, I was looking up more piles of information for my story, and came across something which made me utterly mad, but, oh well.
My story was supposed to be Matt and Amy getting together, but I came across an article saying that Matt has a sister named Amy. I don't know if it's true or not, but now I have to change a whole bunch of parts to my storyline, to get Amy with either Brian or Zacky.
I considered changing Amy's name, but I just can't do that. For some reason, Amy's name just fits this story and if I were to change it, I wouldn't be able to continue writing it. I know, I'm weird, but that's just how I feel about it.
Gah! I'm so mad >:|
