After-life

Mainly a discussion trigger. I want to hear all of your thoughts on this. First, I'll state things about myself that matter to this topic. I'm atheist. I've heard that after we die, we are reborn as someone else entirely. I've heard of heaven and hell, and depending on how you spent your time of earth, you could go to either place. I've even heard that we have no souls at all, and that our "Personalities" are simply us adapting. I have no real opinion on the matter. I live in my head, and in my head, I would think it would be cool if I was re-born. But is there really any way of us knowing? For all we know, every story we create could be another world, and we are god of that world, choosing how that world works. This is another strange theory my brain decided to come up with.

What do you think of this. I don't want a fight, but discussion is always nice to see. I'm open to ideas, for, as I have stated, I don't really know.
