...I'm banned from the boards?

So.
I'm going through the boards 5 minutes ago, type up a post, and right as I hit submit, I'm greeted with:

"You are banned from posting on the board. Reason: Quoting without adding anything to the conversation. Your ban expires on 03.23.2010."

Rawr. How formal. But I'm honestly shocked. Now, granted, I went through my past posts and saw that I did quote without saying all that much or without saying anything at all, on the Remember When thread. I did it twice.

However, I wasn't warned at all about it; no mod gave me a nudge or reminder or anything. No one pointed it out. I hadn't even noticed I'd done it until now. It's jarring, it really is.

I was perma-banned on INO because I didn't agree with one of the mods; I can't even log in there. Which is ridiculous, come to think of it, because I got banned there for a remark I made about INO mods on here.

And seeing something like this here has really rubbed me the wrong way.

It's a bit upsetting, actually. I could see if I were banned for something more serious, like flaming, bashing, intentional spammage, and so on.

But simply quoting? And without a warning?
This bothers me.
A lot.
