Minnesota Girl

Sorry for having two posts within an hour and a half of each other. I'm still unable to focus on the essay I should be writing.

So as you all know if you read my previous posts, the man I've been head over heels for (and haven't seen in seven months) just moved in with me yesterday. I live in Minnesota; he lived in Ohio. Neither of us believe in long-distance relationships, but a series of events led to us living together and now that we know we can make something work, we're both eager to get things going.

He's been taunting me for weeks about a surprise he'd been preparing for me.

Last night, he put a CD into my stereo - he had recorded himself singing/playing Minnesota Girl for me. For those unfamiliar with the song, it can't be found on any CD - it's a song Billie Joe Armstrong wrote for his wife, who is from Minnesota.

I've never melted more in my life than I did hearing him sing that to me through my stereo. Even if things don't work out between him and me, this is something I'll treasure forever. But god, I hope things DO work.

Just thought I'd share, and let you all know how incredible my boyfriend is. <3
