No Offense

No offense, but your story is quite awful.

Just kidding, heh heh. So this "no offense" phrase meaning have been always lingering in my mind whenever I heard someone say it. When my friends or someone tell me "No offense, but your hair is ugly today," I do feel offended. I mean, what's the point of adding "no offense" in the beginning of your criticism if it doesn't make it any better? lol. Sure, I guess it's like 0.1% better than straight out saying "your hair's flippin' ugly," but still - not much difference in my opinion.

I guess in some cases, the use of "no offense" actually do make sense. But, I haven't heard much comments that applied the true meaning of "No offense" too often, haha.
