Yes, thats right. I've seen Wicked... again!
And yes, I'm definitely obsessed :) Wicked is just such an amazing musical - I would recommend it to anyone! This stunning musical as brought me to the love of musical theatre, so its very inspirational. A very informal brief review, since I've already done 2!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Today I went to see Wicked, for the third time. I had Pippa Grandison and Lucy Durack as Elphaba and Glinda. I was slightly disappointed I got Pippa, because I had already had her before - but nevertheless, they were both amazing in their roles! The ensemble, like always, were in sync and in time at all times. I loved their use of dynamics, which were put in different places and different times than other ensembles around the world. Pippa was, once again, superb in the role of the green girl, however her lack of lower voice range prevented her from reaching the low notes in "I'm not that Girl". As I pointed out in my last Wicked journal, she cracked on the last note of the song, so instead of cracking on that last note, she riffed it into a higher note. It sounded different, but it didn't stir much of the audience, maybe except for the
Wicked fans!

Lucy Durack was as always enthusiastic in her role of G(a)linda. She hit the soprano notes in No One Mourns the Wicked, whilst still being able to lower her voice range to reach the note in the reprise of "I'm not that Girl". Her hilarious character gave her acting a lovely perspective! Rob Mills played Fiyero, and his singing was definitely high standard and his dancing was actually more improved than before! I also had the new Nessarose, Elisa Colla, who was
amazing - like Penny McNamee (previous Nessa), but also had her own glitch to Nessa.

Overall, the afternoon/night was an amazing 3rd time Wicked experience, and with the excitement of meeting some cast at the stage door, I got home with excitement still bubbling inside me! :D
