So I had a shitty day and my knee is killing me. I got home from school and I was in a terrible, unhappy mood. I took a bath to calm down and that helped a lot, but not quite enough. So I thought I'd just kick this bad mood with a time-honoured remedy: curl up on the couch with a bag of popcorn and a Disney movie.
Like, ok, yeah yeah Disney is all racist and home-spun small town unattainable American Dream gone global domination. I get it, I know aallll that. Let's set that aside for now, lol, and enjoy our childhood cartoons.
My favourite, since I was like three: The Jungle Book. I loved how cool and beautiful the big cats moved (they way they were drawn) and I liked the whole exotic look of the dark jungles of India. I loved the mysterious mood music and all the big songs.
Oh and obviously Baloo the Bear is a straight up gangster and I love that guy.
But I'm game for mixing it up, so I shoot it to you guys: what's your favourite Disney cartoon? Be it classic Disney, under-appreciated 80's Disney, or renaissance Disney:
