Remembering a Heavy Metal Legend

Today Ronnie James Dio of the bands Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell, Elf and solo work died this morning. Not only was Dio an amazingly talented person he was also very influential to the music world.

He was one of the first people to mold the genre of heavy metal. His voice and style made him a recognizable face on the music world. To the bands and people he met he was a humble and nice person. To the fans he was a hero.

He was the person that was responsible for the recognizable "devil horns" hand gesture. The universal sign for metal fans around the world.

My condolences go out to his friends and family. He is gone but will never be forgotten.

"So long and goodnight"-My Chemical Romance

"Now that your are gone
Casting shadows from the past
You and all the memories will last...
Don’t you cry?
Angels never fade away"-Kamelot
