There are some things in life that we cannot change.

My teacher always told me The only thing that doesn't change is change.

That's true.

Doesn't help the fact that it hurts though.

I mean...the truth hurts. Right?

Well on to the journal.

Today, my best friend just took a plane to Manila.

That's an hour flight away.

She's going there for college.

And in case you guys don't know...I'm from Bacolod. Manila is 187 miles away.

I'm happy for here because well, she's going to the college of her dreams.

She'll be taking the course she really wants.

She doesn't have to deal with seeing him and getting hurt anymore.

She has more of a future there than she does in this small town.

Then why am I complaining?

SIMPLE.

She's leaving me behind.

I mean...I was supposed to go away for college too.

Take the course of my dreams.

Then I had to stay because my uncle wants me to go to the same college as my cousin.

That college doesn't offer the course I want.

So I have to settle.

While all my friends are going away to live the lives they dream about.

And I'm here settling for whatever I have.

Because I was given no say regarding my college.

Back to my friend.

She's more than a friend.

She's more than a best friend.

Call it cliche but she's like a sister to me.

She's my twin by everything else.

She's the only person that stuck with me 100% through all the sh*t I've done.

Despite everything...rumors, gossip and labels...

She made her parents adopt me whenever I was too depressed to stay at home.

She's the person I have endlessly kidnapped from boredom only to end up in her room, laughing at the color blue and green.

She's the person that introduced me to endless possibility.

I mean...because of her, I wouldn't have met HIM.

She's the person I only got angry at ONCE for something SO STUPID but she forgave me anyway.

I'm gonna miss her so much.

Until she comes back during her break, I have no one else to talk to.
