They Call Me Crazy

This is a work in progress for me as I continue working on my fanfic to turn it into an original! For one, every sentence, every event, every person in the story has to have a purpose in my story.

The Original Storyline: Madison left the clinic at last, escaping into the night. She left Texas for Alabama and remained there safely for three ears, until her older brother suddenly appears on her doorstep. Madison returns home to her family with her own surprises and plenty of secrets. She's convinced she's okay, and doesn't need help. Can she prove to everyone, that she's fine? Can someone else help her?

Madison Caprice O'Reilley =18
-severe anxiety with horrible phobias that rush her uneasily. Loves flowers
John Richard O'Reilley = 19
-Maddie's older brother who always cared and comforted her. Always understood what she said and meant, though never knew what to do about it. sweet, caring, goes into psychology to help her and others
Gabriel Madoc O'Reilley= 8 months
-Maddie's baby, rich parents who divorced and didn't want him, legally adopted, adorable with dark hair and WHAT COLOR OF EYES should he have?
Shane Daniel O'Reilley = 16
-John and Maddie's younger brother who's something of a nerd and never really understood the family situation, always being sent off to camps and the like.
Garrett Alexander Woods =19
-lost his little autistic sister, Rebecca, to suicide [is that possible?] and understands that she's still a good person. Secretly plays guitar and writes song but too shy to do it before others, and enjoys computer programming zomie games
Alex Hoang Chu =18
-Garrett and John's great friend, Maddie's friend from childhood. Vietnamese though they pretend he's chinese. The 'class clown' who doesn't care if she's 'crazy.' just loves being her friend, and listens to whatever she says. convinces her to pull pranks constantly and has strange excuses. loves anime and indian-chant music [what would you call it?]
Tory Hayes =19
-John's girlfriend who works in a vintage clothing shop but has hopes to become a lawyer. Pretty, sweet, good listener. great friend and all around great person who adores Gabriel to death and befriends shy Maddie
Stacy Hales =18
-Alex's girlfriend in the beginning. Dating only for convience and because she's hott. Mostly? A rich brat that everyone ignores just to annoy her.
Charity "Smithy" Woods
-Garrett's grandmother who he visits w/ friends in AL to convince her to come to Texas, but she has Maddie and Gabe living with her. Old with many problems that Maddie helps care for her. Sweet, amusing, stubborn and wise, a mother to all
May & Richard O'Reilley
-Maddie's parents who never understood what to do, and 'did what was best' by sending her off continually as a child to special schools and psychiatrists. couldn't get that she tried to talk and explain or anything.
Georgia & Timothy Woods
-Garrett's parents. Dad walked out when Becca was born. Georgia distraught when Becca died [at age 13?], but still coping. Loves to fiddle with cooking dishes, doesn't care much about cleaning, and collects polaroids of absolutely everything [family room covered in them] along with her collection of doorknobs that Becca had once started and she keeps adding to it.
