As most of you know now, Spain won their first World Cup today. I am so happy I could die (not really). Since the U.S. got knocked out of the tournament, I've been rooting for Spain. There are such an awesome team. Usually the teams I root for always come in second so today was a nice touch to my summer. And I can't wait to go to Barcelona in March!
And some people say it was a dirty game, which I sorta agree with. I think when Nigel de Jong kicked Xabi Alonso in the chest he should have been red carded. There was like what 18 yellow cards.
When Uruguay's Luis Suarez deliberately blocked a would-be goal with his hand in the quarter finals I thought it was a very unsportsmanlike thing to do. But I probably would have done the same thing. Any thing worth playing for is worth playing dirty for.
And I'll just throw in a picture of my favorite player....
David Villa
David, take me to you villa, please.
