Practice Makes Perfect.

Anyone else feel as though school consumes their life? Every day is a constant struggle in which I have to make the ever-so-annoying decision that always pains me in the end: passing school or taking the time to work on a creative piece every day. Unfortunately, it's my brain that usually wins out, and my heart sits in the back seat while my common sense slams on the gas and speeds off into a realistic world, void of any figurative thought, where everything's black and white. We study and work hard so that we can one day take hold of our future careers utilizing the talents we've been given. If you have a passion, you should practice it everyday. I am the number one critic when it comes to the aforementioned statement. I miss writing so much. I feel like I've traded a piece of my soul in exchange for doing well in school.
Why can't I have both??? Why is it that we often find ourselves making sacrifices at the expense of our natural God-given gifts and talents?
