Mopeyness: It's An Ugly Word

Mope:
1.
a. To be gloomy or dejected.
b. To brood or sulk.
2. To move in a leisurely or aimless manner; dawdle.

That was the definition of 'mopeyness' last time i checked.

I don't like that word.. I think It's quite ugly, wouldn't you think?
When you look at it, the whole word just seems as if it's in a draggy mood.
That's what it does, just drags you down.

I wish I can read another word, one that won't bring me down, but in reality, when one word as ugly as 'mopey' infiltrates your mind; your senses, it feels as though not another pretty word will ever approach you.

Why?
