Goodness, there are tons of journals on queerness/queer folks today

So apparently today there's a thing about wearing purple to memorialize the teenagers who've committed suicide recently because they were being bullied for being queer/perceived as queer/something along those lines. I gotta say, it's about time the mainstream noticed the amazing suicide rate among LGB teens -- although it'd be nice if they worked to include the T there, too. (Anybody interested in including the T, Transgender Day of Remembrance is coming up on November 20th. Here's a list of events being held for TDOR this year.) Obviously I didn't participate, since I didn't know about it. I have been wearing my eight-foot pride scarf of doom a lot lately, though -- does that count? XD

G tells me military recruiters started signing up openly queer recruits as of yesterday... if DADT actually gets repealed, I'm totally going to make her record the queerified version of "Too Darn Hot" we've been playing with and put it on Youtube. XD

Today was one of those days I had to get up at 5 to get to a 7 am class in the next county over. Ugh. Unfortunately this class is never offered at any other time or location, and I have to take it, so yeah. Oh, and I rather cleverly jumped the curb on my way back where I *really* shouldn't have, and now my groin is probably going to develop some nice bruising. I'm sure any onlookers thought it was hysterical, though XD

G and I have been watching Merlin (the BBC series) a lot lately. Merlin and Arthur are so cute! I especially like Arthur's lengthy sessions of lovestruck staring at Merlin. He thinks he's being subtle, too. It's great.

What do you all think of this wearing purple thing? And is anybody else currently watching Merlin with their slash goggles securely on?
