Gay Does Not Mean Stupid

I use to say things like, "You are gay" or "That`s gay." But then I realized how wrong it was.

Gay and stupid does not mean the same thing. Gay is a sexuality, not a synonym for stupid. Calling things or people gay as an insult is saying that being gay is an insult, which insults and offends gays.

So instead say that`s stupid or you are stupid. Saying someone is stupid is still mean, but it`s better then calling them gay, not that there is anything wrong with being gay.

I`m bi-sexual, and it doesn`t personally offend me, unless they are using it in that way, but I know it does offend others, so I try not to say, though it is now a habit, and I correct people when they do, and encourage them not to.

So if you say it, then please stop? I`d love to hear peoples opinions, comment it up.
