Writing.

This is my first journal entry.. I've failed to take a peek at other journals so I'm basically winging this... so here goes :P

I'm currently working to finish my current novel which can be found on my booksie account. It's something I started a few years ago and only found last year and decided to finish because I hate not finishing things. Needless to say the novel is kind of all over the place. Good I'm sure, but not the best I can do. So I'm pretty much trying to finish this, so I can start on something new. I'm kind of wanting to just drop it and start on that something new... but meh.
Halloween is almost upon us and I'm seriously stoked. Yes, I'm going trick-or-treating.. planning on dressing up as what else? a superhero! lol. Lame perhaps but I'm excited. I've pretty much been changing my mind every two days on what I should be but I think superhero is my best bet.

So I'm now working on another short story on the side, about Halloween. Basically the idea molded from a contest my friend is having on ficly... cool site by the way check it out ... but my story is too long to be posted there so :P I'm working away on it slowly I really don't know what to think of it. I've never really done short stories before, like poetry I'm kind of a newb at it. I usually like to drag my stories into novels. But I took a writers craft course last year in second semester and dude! I loved it and was forced to write a ton of short stories, as well as poetry. That class I have to say really helped me decide writing as a future.

It's scary sometimes to think about writing as a career. I think maybe I should do something more meaningful.. but writing is so powerful. It gives people emotions and changes peoples ways of thinking. It's incredible. No doubt it'll be stressful but hey! So worth it am I right?

Hmm.... so my new novel I'm working on... I've kind of got the idea of what I want it to be about. I've only just got the characters' names and descriptions and such down. Not really the story line quite yet. Which is fine because I'm really wanting to finish my current novel before I begin a new one lol. If your wondering what about duh! something involving the supernatural of course! I love writing fantasy.

So I really don't know what else to include! lol. That's it for me now. :P ciao
