The Sad Fate that Affects Every Lazy Teen

Also known as: I REALLY need money, but my pocket money doesn't cover it and I'm too lazy to go get a job.

For the last year I have always been embarrassingly short of money when birthdays and invitations to outings come around. This makes me feel absolutely awful because my girls always always always get me amazing pressies and offer to pay for stuff so I can come along. Then when I have a chance (read: birthday) to pay them back I don't have the funds to get them something really good, or pretty much anything at all.

So: Three birthdays coming up, three amazing presents found, money nowhere to be seen. Solution? Begbegbeg Dad to let me borrow a mountain of cash that will have me home-bound till next year...or get a job. Guess which one I picked?

Unfortunately, I'm a newbie to the job scene and haven't had a proper job yet. Sure, I volunteer at my church creche almost every Sunday morning. but it's a church creche so it's pretty relaxed. Secondly, my lack of experience makes me SO nervous when I go to hand in a resume. Shaking like a leaf ring a bell? That's me, only it's more like a freaking massive earthquake!

Biggest reason why I haven't got a job yet: Procrastination. The killer who is always lurking around the corner, just waiting to tempt you away from assignments and job applications with Internet time, and awesome book, some inane activity you usually wouldn't blink twice at, or just sleep. Grrrr.

Oh, and I just found out that a friend of mine has an interview at workplace-of-choice in a couple of days. Great. Procrastination Killer strikes again! I am so lazy sometimes!

End Rant.
