Name of the Game

Hey guys, im Lucinda, but to be honest I prefer Luce.
Sometimes, I really don't know why my mother decided to name me Lucinda. It's not as if I don't like the name, but really Lucinda. I don't know, it's my mother's choice I guess.
But you should feel comfotable in your own name, since it is giong to be yours not your mother's, for the rest of your life.
So you should like it, right?
Should we be able to name ourselves, when we're old enough?
Well, if that were true, I would be called Ruby, because I was obsessed with that name when I was five.
But I guess if we were able to name ourselves, we would have a bunch of boys called Batman and girls named Barbie.

I don't know, so what does everyone else think?
Do you like your own name? Do you think we should be able to name ourselves? Or should we just leave the job to our parents?
And if you had the choice, what would you name yourself?
