In need of some help. [A journal in which I ask for some information.]

Hiyis,

So, I'm writing this story, some of you may know it, some of you may not. I call it, Letters to Cali. It's one of the best things I've written of recent.

But anyway, here's the dealio.
It's set in Chicago, a city I know little about. Why it's set there, I do not know, I think I just had a friend name American cities. Anyhow,

I need some places, like, real places,

Area names, a few street names within the areas, and the likes.

I need some sort of general idea of where exactly in the city my story is set. But the thing is, I'm kinda crap with that stuff. So, I'd really love if any of you could help me out.

Even if you could just name an area and one or two streets near the edge of the city centre of Chicago, it'd be really really helpful.
