My Favorite Writing Prompts

Between my English teacher and my therapist, I've gathered a great many writing prompts. These are a few of my favorites :D

1. Fictionalize a bad hair day.

2. Use this things in a short story: a headless cocker spaniel puppy, a blind kid, a grandmother, a taxi driver, and a piece of ivory from an elephant tusk.

3. You and your favorite rock star are locked in a room.

4. Write five words on the top of a page. Then, create a story using those five words in order. After that, make another story using those words in backwards order.

5. Explain the meaning behind the quote "Everyone does things for love" said by Sandra Bullock and turn it into the central meaning of a story.

6. Write about what kind of wedding you would have if you were going to be married to the last person of the opposite sex that you talked to.

7. Describe your first kiss.

8. You just got shipped to a reality TV show on an abandoned island.

9. Have the third person omniscient narrator of your writing be able to talk to the characters from first person.

10. You are a ghost stuck in a house, and another family just moved in. Try and get them to leave.
