The Bare Essentials

Once again, Sunny England (Oh i do love oxymorons) is under a blanket of snow. Personally, i'm a scrooge to the snow - After a foot of it only two weeks ago and then another two foot of it in February (Over the course of about a month, Yes spring arrived a good month and a half late this year!) But anyway, that's not what i've found amusing...

The thing that's amazed me is that whenever it's snowed this year everyone has hurried to the shops to buy the 'essentials' I.e. bread and milk.

Why does the snow suddenly make bread and milk so essential? I mean it's not that important any other time of year and perhaps it's just a British thing about getting excited about it not raining but wouldn't tinned food be more important?

Bread and milk for breakfast, lunch and dinner really doesn't sound like a good way to wait out a freeze!

Sometimes i do have to wonder about people.

On another note; Seven days till Christmas! Though as it is now 1:07am over here, I do believe that makes it six! Yay!
