New Beginnings

So, Mary here! I'm pretty sure this is me just about... writing to myself, but hopefully, I'll re-make some friends. Not that anyone's noticed, but I used to me a member back in 2009. Then, for some reason or other, I got bored (I guess) and stopped logging in. Then, today, January 11, 2011 I remember this site and I wanted to check how it's been getting along. At first, I was mighty surprised that I was still registered in the system-- I was excited! Could I re-do this? Could I get back to practicing writing, and making friends at the same time?

I've been re-reading some of the stuff I wrote (boy, I was some weird thirteen-year-old) and I realized I was pretty... bored. Probably, too bored-- did I even do my homework? And I wasn't creative. Whatsoever. I don't even know how people kept on writing comments on journal entries and those dumb poems (though, I have to say--those weren't serious... mostly for entertaining and comedic purposes). But I made a lot friends, actually... and I've met some over Tumblr, as well! (Number one rule of Tumblr is to not talk about Tumblr, but I'm sure we're all smart, non-idiotic teen girls here?)

Also, I was once a rabid Twilight fan (you can see evidence of this in the journal entry titled 'Hoping For A Good Teenage Story'). I can assure you those ridiculous days are over. I've moved on, along with other smart, literary girls who can definitely decide they're not either "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob" but rather "Team Any Other Boy Who Has A Pulse or Won't Turn Into A Dog When Angry". Those days are over... now I'm more of a Harry Potter fan? Any awesome Potter fans out there? (Cough cough Ravenclaw here.)

Anyway, just wanted to check that some people are still alive, and I wanted to say 'Hello!' and throw myself a little Welcome Back! party. Because, you know, I'm awesome as so.
