Help with "The Girl Who Couldn't Feel"? Please?

So, I actually have writer's block for a story i am writing called "The GIrl Who Couldn't Feel". If you haven't read this... the summary is below:

As I turned and went to my cupboard, I heard Father say, “her stone like face! Is she even human? That brat doesn’t feel! She doesn’t feel anything.” Once I was inside and in bed, I touched my cheek softly, since it still stung. It was going to leave a bruise. I could tell. As I closed my eyes, I felt myself pray that the guest couldn’t make it. That for some reason, God would let me keep this one safe place...

People don't know much about Marie, or atleast the like to pretend they don't...She rarely speaks, and the only person who talks to her is Tammy, who Marie has known since she was little. But even she is feigning ignorance about Marie's situation and the peices of Marie's past that Marie can't remember...Then, a new guest comes to stay with Marie and her family. Will he be able to change her? Will he be able to show her how to smile once more?

So, I was hoping to see if anyone had any advice on what i should write about... I'm kind of low on ideas. If you have any about how I could progress the story, please tell me!!! I would love to hear what you think I should write about. Also, if I use your idea, I will definitely give you credit!!! =) So, tell me what you think! Thanks so much!
