Song of the Day: 01.26.11,

In ninth grade, my English A teacher had us watch O Brother, Where Art Thou? as a part of the class. I think we watched it because it tied in with one of the Epic Poems that we were reading. I cannot remember the title but it has something to do with Sirens and traveling around the world on a boat and I want to say it was something by Homer of someone influential like that, but it was a VERY good movie and I totally recommend it.

Now, your probably wondering what a movie has to do with the song of the day if you've not seen this movie. Well, the Soggy Bottom Boys influenced me alot that year.

There are two songs that I really liked from the movie. Man of Constant Sorrow, obviously. I just... love it. It has harmony and is kinda folky but NOT country (at least I don't think).

1. Have you watched O Brother, Where Art Thou? If so, what was your opinion on it?

2. Do you know that Epic Poem/story that I mentioned in the beginning? If so, do you know the name and author? It is going to drive me insane until I figure it out!

3. What do you think of the SOTD? Do you have any recommendations for future SOTD's?
