Is it that bad?

I'm an antithesis, yes yes I said antithesis, but that's what I've chosen. What I wanna know is if that's bad, but I have friends who believe in god and they don't care that I don't. So why does others like my family? Is it that bad that I've chosen this? Will they hate me forever or something? I know what antithesis means:
•A figure of speech in which sharply contrasting ideas are juxtaposed in a balanced or parallel phrase or grammatical structure, as in "Hee for God only, shee for God in him" (John Milton).

I mean if someone else has different belifes then hurray for them, but this is what I believe in and that's no gonna change anytime soon nor will it ever. But if someone could be soo kind and answer these quetions for me, that would completely make my day. Thanks people.
