The Mayor is rude.

So for my Career Center/College Class thing we had the Mayor come down and answer some questions for us. Well this happens to be a HUGE deal, so someone greeted him at the school doors, and I was supposed to greet him at the classroom door. I was going to say..

"Hi Mayor Ballard, it's quite the honor to have you in our class today. We are currently working with a new teaching method called Project Based Learning in which we, the students, have to answer a driving question with research and panel meetings. We are aware that you are on a tight schedule, so if you would like to sit down we can get started right away."

And I was supposed to shake his hand when I said "hi" right? Well he shook my hand and walked right past me mid-sentence. Rude much? I think so. But he answered our questions and he was really nice other than a shake-and-go. -____-
