Here's a question, everyone....

Here's question that's been bugging me and I see this conflict/issuse pop up a lot for those that write slash and whatnot...

"Does writing slash (or anything with same-sex couples) automatically make me or anyone else gay?"

The reason I asked this question is because back when I was a major yoai/slash fan girl, I would write tons of slash fiction, especially for animes that i loved and people who were strictly for straight pairings had always flamed me and called me a lesbian, all because I read and wrote slash back then. I know all those flamers were being stupid, and that we all have our preference and opinions, but that made me feel bad. I just about stopped writing stories all together, until my friends encouraged me to ignore those "idiot reviewers" and continue writing.
