My mom has a growth in her throat. She went to the doctor today, found out that it is 4 centimeters, and she is scheduled to have a biopsy a week from tomorrow. Hopefully it isn't cancer. She will still have to have surgery to have it removed, regardless, because it is just too big to get rid of any other way. I'm a bit scared, both her aunt and her grandmother died from cancer. It also sounds quite painful, having a big needle stuck in your throat.
I had to have a bone marrow biopsy several years ago, and i remember the size of the needle they used on me. I'm sure that the one they use for your throat would be considerably smaller, but still.
Anyway, I'm scared. I don't want my mom to be sick. Please pray for her.
