Debit Card Or Credit Card

Credit card or debit card? That is the question. Personally, I’d go with a debit card any day. After all, one of the benefits of having a debit card is that debit cards don’t have the “Buy Now, Pay Later” that credit cards have.

However, I do have to remember the disadvantages of having a debit card as well. One of them is that the use of a debit card is not usually limited to the existing funds in the account to which it is linked. Most banks allow a certain threshold over the available bank balance which can cause overdraft fees if the user’s transaction does not reflect available balance.

One good trick when using a debit card is to pick a random PIN number. For instance, create a PIN number from a word, or from significant dates such as your birthday. Pretty neat, in my opinion.

What do you think?
