Tuesday night, we had the worst thunderstorm imaginable. The town a few miles down the road had tornados. Half of my neighborhood (my house included) didn't have power for about 22 hours. Some still don't have power. In the neighborhood near mine, trees fell on houses and cars and tore down power lines. Who knows how long it'll take to clean up. Schools in our district were closed, and today they're excusing absences. Thank god too, considering I woke up sick as hell and didn't go. Anyway, seeing all the damage and hearing about people who still don't have the luxury of electricity reminds how truly lucky my family is to be safe and sound after such a terrible storm. <3
It's been a few days since I've written a good journal/communicated with any of you, so here's what's up:
-I have 7 and 1/2 more days of high school left. :D I'm very excited. Theres so many things coming up that I'm excited about, but this definitely tops them all. I'm expecting the last week/few days to be pretty bittersweet.
- I have an awesome new hair cut, courtesy of Sara and Crystal. I <3 it.
- May 24th - the 26th, Allen and I are going to visit his parents in Columbia. They moved there officially about a week or so ago, so they'll be closer to all the doctors Allen's mom and sister need. Please pray for them, even if you aren't religious, keep them in your thoughts. <3
- May 31st, two days before my graduation, I'm going to go see Panic(!) At The Disco with Miss Sara. I've been waiting for this since the 8th grade. Tis my last chance to party before the seriousness of graduating from a big chapter of my life really hits me. My inner 8th grade self cannot contain her excitement. ^_^
Welp, thats pretty much it for now. I have to go sometime this week to pay my down payment to hold my schedule at the tech college I want to go to. I'm somewhat excited about that, but I don't like spending all that money on school.
