Staring through the half open shades of the library window, one thought comes to mind. "What do you see?"

I see the flag blowing high and free in the wind. Cars going in and out of the school car lot, cars also driving in the far distance to and from work, the store etc. To the very right of the window there is a bush. It's big and dark green, it also blows with the wind every so often. I see across the parking lot is yet another lot with another school. Everything seams still over there..unmoving.
There are cars all around outside,The mood still is strange. I see all these lively, colorful things that somehow give me the impression of being frozen and dull.
The scenery makes me wonder,
if maybe it knows something;
......knows something isn't right;
knows of maybe an unpredicted not so good event soon to come.
It's almost as if it's trying to speak but others don't listen or don't understand. In it's own way it wants others to hear yet doesn't know how to get their attention. It silently and sadly tries to warn us of events to come.

Here again looking out the same window I see it's much brighter. The flag is still moving but in a more 'everything's OK' way. The bush is moving more often and quickly now. It's also out of the shade. Both lots are less full. The mood no longer feels sad and helpless. The mood is different, it feels like it's saying
.............. " you made it; you survived!"
