So I have been checking out the journals and stories pages more often then usual. I have cam across something that isn't really a big deal, I just have a question about it. How far can an author go with their inspirations for their writing? I know there has got to be a copy right on song titles, lyrics in the song etc.
I saw some people with stories where their title was a song by an artist. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it. In my younger years I would use the title of a song that inspired me to write about something. I'm not so sure why I even did it. So that's why I am asking the community.
I know some people only write original fiction which is what I am doing now a days. I feel better about my writing if I know I'm making up all of the characters, plots, setting etc.
What do you guys think?
On another note, I have my college orientation and I want to say I'm nervous because on a certain level I am nervous but I don't feel it which is odd. I normally have knots in my stomach and my hands slightly sweat. It isn't like that now- maybe I got some confidence without realizing it.
To all of my readers- I updated Fallen Angel- to those of you who don't know it is a dark, demonic romance between a human and a incubus demon. It's my first attempt at a demonica series and I think it's going considerable well.
