Discussion: How soon is too soon to say 'I love you'?

It has four months and sixteen days since my beloved and I started going out.
It has been four months and nineteen days since I first knew I loved him.
It has been four months and seven days since he first told me he loved me.

That's right, nine days in, he told me he loved me. Honestly, it was a relief because I kept nearly saying it.

However, my supreme happiness has left me wondering - is this unusual behaviour? Of course it is probably not a common occurance to be so besotted early on, but does it possibly happen more frequently than we think?

So, my question is what would you say is the average amount of time before people admit their love for one another.

And an additional question would be, if you have a boyfriend, have you told exchanged words of love?
