What Norwegians love about Norway(In light of the terror)

One of our papers, Aftenposten, asked Norwegians what they like the most about Norway. I agree with a lot of what has been sent in:

The right to vote, who ever you are.

The long summer holiday.

Being involved is appreciated.

That bus drives wave when they meet on the road.

That the most dangerous thing at our cabin is a non-lethal snake.

The wealth.

That it's OK to be gay.

Twenty-year olds can get into the equivalent to the congress, house of commons etc.

Tourists

Money support to culture.

Fresh air.

That it works, mostly.

That I one time overheard the Prime Minister introducing himself as "Jens, Camillas brother".

That the police hardly ever wear guns.

That the old ladies at the voting station reminds me of the old ladies that watched us during out exams.

My Kurdish hairdresser.

Having a cold outdoors beer, watching a Representative of the government walk by.

Father(maternity)leave.

That our Storting president is a lumberjack.

And that the vice Stortings president is a tram driver from Pakistan.

Good water

That we're allowed to have stupid meanings about stuff.

That I learned to read.

Immigrants with a dialect.

That I wake up without fear, just silly worries.

That our kids doesn't have to walk through a metal detector at school.

That we complain about the weather, and then we're embarrassed, because we know we have it so well.

That 93% of the Norwegians read a book last year.

Equal right for education.

That the foreign dept. can use the crown prince as a DJ at the Christmas party.

That walking fast on skiis make us better people.

That we gather when something is really wrong.

That the King has a sense of humor.

Everyone has the same possibility to be successful

That when someone looses a glove or mitten, we pick it up and hang it on a fence, hoping the on that lost it, will find it again.

That happiness is a trip to the cabin, with WC outside and LUDO.

I really liked these submissions, and here's mine:

That people answer these things, because we love this country.
