MICKEY MOUSE | Ukiyo-e project

Soooo, I was playing Epic Mickey (best game evar, btw), which brought up the sudden desire to watch extremely old Disney cartoons, like Steam Boat Willie and stuff, so I did, and now I have a weird fascination for extremely old cartoons. I mean, I have always loved classic Disney, I've always thought he was a brilliant cartoonist. For real, old cartoons like that are soooooo much better than more recent cartoons (with the exception of Regular Show and Adventure Time). Cartoons like M.A.D. and The Amazing World of Gumball SUCK! What has Cartoon Network done to cartoons? But I now absolutely love the very first Mickey Mouse cartoons, and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit ( he came before Mickey Mouse, but Mickey Mouse became way more famous and no one remembers Oswald now).

So I'm working on a project for my mom to hang on the wall in the living room, and the idea I have is an ukiyo-e style geisha woman looking into a mirror. I've always thought Ukiyo- e was absolutley beautiful. I love traditional Japanese style art. It's just so elegant and graceful. Anyways, here's the link to the picture I'm basing it off of:

So what do you think? I drew the rough copy of it, and I think it's gonna turn out really well. And my mom is teaching me how to use an ink brush, and I'm PUMPED to finish it :D
