So I was browsing the stories section earlier, and I found something that I would ordinarily skip over, but it caught my eye for some reason. And then I got through the first chapter... and it bore a striking resemblance to a first chapter in one of my stories. The second chapter as well.
I mean, the name is practically the same. (I don't want to bash here, so I'll try not to make it too obvious.) Let me put it this way. If my main character was named 'Oprah,' this person made theirs 'Winfrey.' Their layout is almost the same as mine too.
It's basically, like, eerily similar. And the ending of their first chapter was almost exactly like mine! I was surprised at first -who would want to copy me? Then I kinda laughed it off. But now I don't know what to do. Their story isn't word for word like mine, though. So I don't know if that makes any difference.
Or maybe I'm flattering myself in thinking this person would want to copy me. It was just a shocker, that's all.
